A mobile application designed to enhance the dining experience at Fika, a Scandinavian-inspired fine dining restaurant in Chennai.

Inspired by the Scandinavian ethos of simplicity and warmth, Fika is a fine dining destination in the heart of Chennai. The mobile application for Fika is designed to enhance the dining experience by providing a seamless way for customers to explore, reserve, and enjoy Fika’s offerings, all from the palm of their hand.

Upon launch, the app welcomes users with a minimalistic splash screen, featuring Fika’s soft pastel palette and hand-drawn logo—establishing brand recall and evoking a sense of calm and sophistication.

After signing in, users are greeted with a thoughtfully designed home screen interface that employs a clean, card-based layout for quick and effortless browsing of the daily specials. The layout supports smooth navigation and clear content hierarchy.

Fika enhances user engagement by integrating a seamless reservation system. Customers can book dining experiences with flexibility, choosing from diverse spatial options such as a communal table, the signature cage, or the private cabana. The interaction flow supports customization based on party size, date, and time—offering a streamlined multi-step form experience that minimizes friction and maximizes clarity. The event booking flow follows the same interaction pattern, offering venue options like the Glass Dome, Party Hall, or Amphitheater for private gatherings.

Fika also integrates in-app food delivery, structured around a clear task flow optimized for speed and usability. The process is broken down into three intuitive stages: item selection, a transparent billing summary, and a confirmation screen. The final screen features a scannable QR code and a succinct success message, delivering clear visual feedback and reinforcing user confidence in the transaction.

The app's overall UI is consistent with Fika’s brand identity—elegant, airy, and user-friendly—offering an end-to-end experience that blends functionality with refined aesthetics. Every touchpoint has been thoughtfully designed to make discovering, reserving, and savoring Fika’s offerings as delightful as the meals themselves.
